On this episode of Career Journeys we welcome Sara Wroblewski ’13 by phone from Boston. Sara is the founder and CEO of One Bead, a company she founded while a student at HWS. Sara was a Media & Society and Economics major at the Colleges and was the inaugural winner of The Pitch. One Bead partners with schools and after-school programs to provide unique enrichment programs for elementary-aged students. Sara began the company selling hand-blown glass beads on campus to support an elementary school in Nairobi. The company raised over $40,000 with the support of the Colleges. Now, eight years later, members of the Colleges’ community serve on One Bead’s Board of Directors and the company is proving that anyone can be a catalyst for change.
